About the designer:
Astrid Fog (1911-1993) was a fashion designer who started designing jewellery to complement her clothes. She worked in clothing design in both haute couture and ready-to-wear in addition to hollowware and jewellery. She created her first jewellery collection for Georg Jensen in 1969 and her designs helped Georg Jensen making jewellery the primary part of Georg Jensen’s production. Her approach was respectful of the way that individual materials relate to the design and she participated in exhibitions at the Danish National Arts and Crafts Association a number of times.
