About the designer:
Vilhelm Oscar Gundlach-Pedersen (1886-1960) was a Danish architect and responsible for designing a number of important buildings in Denmark. Gundlach-Pedersen was also engaged in furniture design and silverware together with Georg Jensen Silversmithy and became Director from 1927–1931. He designed the Parallel and Nordic flatware patterns and also jewelry and hollowware pieces. He was represented in many exhibitions and received a gold medal at the Paris World Exhibition in 1925 and the Diplome d'honneru at L'Exposition Internationale, in Paris in 1937.
