The SAVANNAH collection comes to prominence after exploring
the extensive Georg Jensen archives which hold a treasure of
timeless and iconic jewellery designs from the last 100 years.

This collection, never previously launched, is as fresh and modern
today as when it was designed by Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe in the 1970s.

The SAVANNAH collection was created by Vivianna when she had her
studio in the lush tropical island nation of Indonesia.

The lushness of the grasslands and rainforest's coupled with the purity
of light and color acted ad an inspiration for many of her
collections from this time.

The collection captures these natural elements through the brilliant
warmth of the 18 carat gold and the fluid craftsmanship of the form.

To add intrigue and depth to the design a buff top-cut gemstone
in either citrine or smoke quartz has been added.

The cut of the stone creates a kaleidoscope-effect when light
transcends the jewellery.

Materials:

Solid 18K yellow gold 750 with a large citrine.

Measurements:

Front (approx.): 1,5 x 2,4 cm / 0.6" x 0.9"

About the designer:

Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe (1927 – 2004), often known simply as Torun, was one of Sweden's most important 20^th century silversmiths and a master jeweller. Her uncompromising and innovative work almost defines mid-century Scandinavian design with her love of both functionality and craftsmanship. Among her most important works are the watch "Vivianna," the bracelet "Mobius," and the earrings and necklaces "Dew Drop."
